Aluminium Casthouse Technologies, ACT Ltd, a newly formed associate Company of MQP Ltd, began operating in January 2019. Initially it will provide the aluminum industry with the well-established casthouse products, Refinal fused fluxes and BatchPilot automated furnace weight measuring equipment previously supplied by MQP. This will enable MQP to focus solely upon providing aluminium casthouses with high performance Optifine grain refiners.
ACT has worldwide coverage with technical personnel, agents and distributors ready to provide product information, technical help and back up service.
PEOPLE
The management team at ACT consists of accomplished professionals in aluminium technology and complementary disciplines.
Several team members, like John Courtenay, were previously employed in senior roles within the Foseco organisation namely, Barry Lightfoot, UK Sales Manager and ACT’s Finance Director, Clive Johnson.

The Company’s guiding philosophy from inception has been to develop and introduce innovative technology for casthouses worldwide with the overall aim of improving quality and reducing operating costs. The formation of close partnerships with suppliers and key customers has always been fundamental to the pursuit of this strategy.
